DPC’s Fall Programming

DPC’s exciting Fall offerings will give us cause to celebrate and grow together! We invite you to click the links below to learn more and decide what works best for you or your family. Please note that we will resume a two-service schedule, with worship occurring at 8:30 and 10:30 am beginning September 25.

Adult Education

Our vibrant and diverse Adult Education classes enhance and allow us to even dig deeper into the message shared during worship service. Each class meets on Sundays between worship services with options for Zoom and in-person participation. Bible Talk!, Good News and Other News, and The Word Among Us may be familiar to some of you, but our dedicated coordinators and leaders have lots of new topics to explore and creative ways to engage as we resume our walk of faith together. And our slate of Fall Growth Groups offer amazing opportunities to develop friendships based on your faith as you explore ways grow in spirit in a more intimate setting. Sign up today!

Children and Families

Children’s Worship Time will use Godly Play and Illustrated Ministries to allow for a greater connection to God’s presence through Bible stories. Sunday school for Little Lambs (led once again by dedicated volunteers Tom Maclin and Lauren Ford), and for Younger and Older Elementary children will occur from 9:30 to 10:15 am each Sunday. The Children’s Ministry committee has put much thought into how the Younger and Older Elementary Sunday School classes would be faith formative, interactive, and engaging. We are excited for the kids to spend the first few weeks interacting in a story from the Bible that they will actually present in worship as a skit for the scripture. Then later in October they will do a multi week Escape Room challenges exploring the parables of Jesus!

Stay tuned for details of special Bibles that will be given to our 3rd graders by congregation members during worship service on September 25 in a beautiful ritual that will be a memorable moment in the life of this child and family.

Tweens and Teens

We’ve got Club 456 on Wednesday evenings, while our Youth can look forward to Element on Sunday nights for a chance to really explore our relationships with God and each other. For an at-a-glance overview, visit our main page. For more detailed looks check out our specific Tweens and Teens pages.

Music

Plans are in place for children, youth, and adults. Visit our Music and the Arts page to see how and when you can join together in song! Organist Mina Choi is offering singers and musicians a new way to participate in the upcoming 8:30 am worship services.
