Code Blue at DPC

Code Blue at DPC. It won’t be long until the Code Blue homeless shelter comes to DPC!  In preparation for hosting the shelter in February, consider volunteering in one or more of these ways:

· If you would like to help in the kitchen, please sign up here: bit.ly/DPC-CB

· If you would like to help purchase groceries, please sign up here: bit.ly/DPC-CBG

· All volunteers must attend a training and pass a background test, which can be done online. For more information on the training or shelter, visit https://co2ssh.org and click on New Volunteer Training.

· Trained Volunteers interested in being a Host Site Coordinator (7 to 10 pm shift) contact Erin Rizk at erinr@dtownpc.org.

Code Blue provides emergency shelter to homeless individuals in Central Bucks County on extremely cold nights. Doylestown Presbyterian Church serves as one of these shelters one month out of the winter. In addition to needing volunteers to help staff the shelter when it is open, Code Blue also needs assistance with things including administration, finance, supplies, transportation, community relations, volunteer coordination, training, homeless outreach, and risk management.
