Pastoral Staff

The Reverend Dr. John M. Willingham - John Mark Willingham was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. His family moved to Georgia when he was four years old and lived there through-out his school years. The son of a Presbyterian minister, he is the middle of five children.

Following high school, John attended a Presbyterian institution, Davidson College, located in Davidson, North Carolina, where in 1980 he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. For the next three years, John worked as a manager for the telephone company now known as Bell South. While in their employ, John felt a strong calling to serve the Lord as a minister of the Word and Sacrament, and entered Princeton Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity degree in 1987 with a concentration in preaching.

He served the First Presbyterian Church of Mount Sterling. Kentucky for five years, until accepting a call to become the pastor of the Matthews Presbyterian Church in Matthews, North Carolina, where he served for nearly eleven years. John earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Chicago’s McCormick Theological Seminary in 1995 with a concentration in church re-development.

In addition to his work in the congregations served, John has been active beyond church walls He helped organize a Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Kentucky and participated in the Superintendent's Interfaith Advisory Committee in Charlotte. He has served as a commissioner to Synod and General Assembly meetings and moderator of the Presbytery of Charlotte.

John’s wife, Lori, is a registered nurse and they have two children, Michael and Emsley.

The Rev. Bryant M. Anderson - Bryant Mitchell Anderson was born in Lubbock, Texas, and spent most of his childhood in Ventura, California. When he was twelve, his family moved to Holland, Michigan, and four years later they moved to Naples, Florida, where he finished high school and where his parents still live. His mother is a teacher, his father is a pastor, and he is the middle of three children. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Florida, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion. His engagement with the academic study of religion challenged his faith profoundly, leading him to a deeper understanding of his faith and a strong sense that God was calling him to ordained ministry. He graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree in 2008.

Bryant’s wife, Kristen, teaches first grade.

The Rev. Keith W. Crawford-Roberts - A native of Appleton, Wisconsin, Keith is the seventh of eight children born to a middle-school math teacher and a homemaker. He was nurtured in a strong youth program at Memorial Presbyterian Church. He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and religion from Coe College in Iowa, and a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. In a summer Hebrew class, Keith met his future wife. In 1984, Keith began his first ministry at Winnebago Presbyterian Church, a rural, 250-member congregation in Winnebago, Minnesota. A co-pastor soon joined him there: his new bride, Marilyn Crawford-Roberts, also an ordained Presbyterian minister. After six years at Winnebago, Keith moved on to the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run, a congregation of about 425. Keith’s 17 years at Deep Run were a time of vitality, accomplishment and stability. His time there brought an expansion of church programs and mission outreach; the construction of a new fellowship hall, library and classrooms; and the hiring of Deep Run’s first full-time associate pastor.

Keith and Marilyn have two daughters Mary and Ann.
