Senior Adult Ministries (SAM)

 

WELCOME! SAM is for, by, and with, all older adults who wish to enrich their own lives by exploring their faith together, by continuing to grow in their education together, and by enjoying the classic trio of food, fun and fellowship in Christ together! We also seek to share our faith, knowledge, skills, talents and wisdom with the wider community.

All adults who are growing into their "sageing" years are encouraged to contribute their ideas that will help older adults to support each other, contribute to the church and society and model positive "ageing" for others in DPC.

“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:11‐13)

COME AND EXPERIENCE A SPIRIT-FILLED WEEK!

  • Your favorite hymns and music, scripture and stories, fellowship and good food.
  • Let's look together at "holy habits" which make our Christian faith alive each day: prayer, scripture and discernment.
  • We will draw near to God with heart and mind and spirit.

WHEN ... WHAT ... WHERE

  • Monday, June 21 - Friday, June 25, 2010. 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in the Celtic Cross Room
  • Friday Schedule 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. includes an Old Fashioned Picnic Lunch.
  • Cost $15.00 for the week (assistance available—contact Linda Meier in the church office)

We meet at the restaurant at 1:00 p.m. Contact the church office to let us know you are coming or if you need transportation. All are welcome to join us!
