WELCOME!  SAM is for, by, and with, all older adults who wish to enrich their own lives by exploring their faith together, by continuing to grow in their education together, and by enjoying the classic trio of food, fun and fellowship in Christ together! We also seek to share our faith, knowledge, skills, talents and wisdom with the wider community.

All adults who are growing into their “sageing” years are encouraged to contribute their ideas that will help older adults to support each other, contribute to the church and society and model positive “ageing” for others in DPC.

Special Events

SAM’s Mummer’s Museum Trip. Slip on your, "O' DEM GOLDEN SLIPPERS" and join us for the Senior Adult Ministry Trip MUMMER'S MUSEUM Tuesday, August 5. We’ll take the People Mover and leave at 10:00 a.m. from the church parking lot and return by 3:00 p.m. Limited seating, sign up early. A fee of $5.00 will be collected for fuel. Museum entrance fee; Seniors $2.50, all others $3.50. There is a Video Presentation, Tour, and a Walk-Through. Contact the church office to sign-up!

Mummer comes from the Old French momer, to wear a mask; meaning a masked or costumed merrymaker during a festival. Mummery is a very old tradition in Philadelphia and dates back to pre-colonial days as early as the 1700's. The museum was established in the 1970s.
